Our second hydrostatic test article failed at 2,000 psi. We used this result as the benchmark for the rocket’s case.
The flight ended in a case failure at approximately 6,000 feet and Mach 2.4. We suspect a bending failure caused by thermally weakened epoxy in the motor case, combined with high dynamic loads from asymmetries in the rocket.
